1 WEEK!!
Well Miles has been home for a week now and I think it has been going pretty well. The first couple nights were hard because he would get up every hour and half to two hours and all he wanted to do was be held. He didnt want to eat much so I had to "force" it and what not. But now I think he is getting it down to where he will sleep about 3-4 hours each feeding. I know that they say to feed about 2-3 hours but hey if my little guy is not hungry I am not going to wake him to do so. However if he goes more than 4 hours than I have to wake him up.
I have been reading this book called "Baby Wise" and it has some good things about getting the baby on a route. So this morning we have started to see how well it really works. Miles woke up at 8:00am we did feeding right away and than we did what they call wake time or play time for about 2 hours when I decided it was time to lay him down for the morning nap. I couldnt believe it I put him right in his crib and he didnt even cry and 5 mins later he was out cold. From there he and I slept for about an hour and half when he woke up and once again we did feeding right away/did some awake time/and now he is going down for his afternoon nap. I sure hope that I can keep this route up and I sure hope that it will help with him sleeping through the night. The book says that by 7-8 weeks most babies that are on the eat/wake/sleep schedule sleep about 7-8hours a night. So lets hope and pray it works for us.
Below are a few more pics and a video of Miles just hanging out. I have had alot of request for more pics but its so hard to get pics when all he does right now is eat, sleep and poop. :)

GETTING PISSED!!
Ok so I am to the point where I am going to start freaking out on the stupid nurse practitioner that has been working with Miles if she doesnt start doing what she says. It all has to do with Miles feeding and I know they are feeding him way to much. They set a limit for him saying that he needs to have a max of 50 cc for a feeding but he had no min. Well this morning they finally gave him a min of 44cc. And because he hasnt been "taking the bottle" they put the stupid feeding tube back in. I however think they are over feeding him. They always put 50 cc in his bottle and he takes usually about 30-35cc sometimes he even takes the whole 50. However since they put that stupid feeding tube back in if he doesnt finish the bottle after 30 mins they end up putting the remaining cc into the feeding tube, therefore he is getting 50 cc no matter what every 3 hours. This is why I think they are over feeding him. Those of you that have kids what do you think?
He is suppose to come home tomorrow around noon and if it doesnt happen I am going to have a huge yelling match. My kid is perfectly fine now. Sorry just needed to vent.

VIDEOS OF MILES!!
Just a couple videos of Miles. The first one is getting ready for his first eating. The second one is of him just hanging out sorry its so dark but he doesnt like the lights on much and the last one is of his first bath one week after birth. If you listen to the cries from the first and last video you can tell he was doing so much better.

MILES KENNETH BJARNSON!!
These are not in any order but I thought I would post some pictures of Miles. He is still in the hospital and had a set back last night. He hasnt been able to eat very well out of a bottle so they had to put in a feeding tube. They do try to feed him through the bottle first but if he doesnt take it after about 20 mins or so they end up putting it in the tube. They think he is having a hard time with it because he is still breathing quite hard about 70-80 breaths a min and it needs to be down to about 60-70 breaths a min. He is still on the oxygen but he is getting so close of being off that. The level he needs to be at is 21 which is what air level the rest of us breath at and he is anywhere between a 23-25. He is also having a hard time pooping so that is causing him not to be able to disgust the food like he needs to. We are now unsure of when he will be coming home, but we are hoping it will be soon into next week. Until than prayers are still needed and those that we have gotten we can tell they are working. Thank you everyone for the love and support.
This is me three days after giving birth to Miles.
Grandpa Grant holding Miles for the first time. He was sure in Heaven being able to do this.
Miles trying to wake up. His eye was swollen not sure why but its better now.

UPDATE ON MILES!!
Well its now Wednesday at 7:08pm and I thought I should give a quick update on how Miles and myself are doing.
I am getting ready to be discharged from the hospital I should be leaving within the next hour or so. Fortunately, Miles will have to stay at the hospital for a couple days. Because of his breathing troubles they are still needing to keep him on oxygen. They did try to take him off the treatment today around noon but after a half hours and his stats not staying where they need to be staying they had to put him back on. The good news is he has been breathing normal level air for the last day. What I mean by that is we breath in 21 level air and that is what he has been on. So pretty much normal air but the mask just helps to keeps his lungs opened. There are times when they have to turn it up but it doesnt look like it goes up more than 25. He seems to be comfortable which is good, but we really hope he can get off the oxygen so he can come home this weekend.
I will keep everyone posted as we get more information. All we ask is that everyone keeps Miles in their prayers and hope that he can come home soon.

THE NAME IS???
Ok we finally agreed on a name after much talk and thought. We have decided that baby boy Bjarnson "Bruno" (the nickname my mom gave him) will be known as MILES KENNETH BJARNSON!!
BABY BOY BJARNSON IS HERE!!!

These are pics right as he was born. He is now hooked up on alot of different tubes but we have decided that we dont want to post those types of pictures yet. He is doing well though and we couldnt be happier.

| Well he is here. Hard to believe it happened but we did it. As you all know we thought it was a false alarm on Sunday afternoon into the evening because the on call doc sent me home since I didnt progress within 6 hours. Well Monday afternoon came along and I called my doc to let her know what was going on over the weekend and all of Monday. My contractions were still pretty heavy and I was in alot of pain. At that time she told me I needed to go into labor and delivery once again to see if I made any progress over the night. We got to the hospital by 2:30pm and I was checked and by that time I was dilated to 3cm. They got ahold of my doc and by 3:00pm she came into the hospital and said ok we are going to break your water and get you going. Having her break my water was not very fun and the pain got pretty bad that i needed something quick so she said I could go head and have my epidural. So by about 4:00pm I was in my room and getting the epidural and let me tell you that was the best thing in the world. It was amazing how fast it hit and how much better you feel. Those women that dont get one are CRAZY!! So as soon as they got the epidural in they checked me once more and I was dilated to a 5 going onto a 6. We asked if Brandon would have time to go to school because he has a very difficult class this semester and didnt want to miss the second day of school. They said he should be ok but they would check me once again before he left. So at 5:20pm they checked me again and I was at a 6 going onto a 7. They said he would be fine to go to class but just to make sure that he had his phone on him so if we needed to call we could. His class by the way is from 5:45pm-7:00pm. So by 6:30pm they came in once again to check my progress because I had the major urge to push. Of course they tell you that you cant and breath through them but man that is harder than you think. So when they checked they are like OOO man you are at a 8 very close to a 9 so you need to get your husband here soon. They were like tell him he doesnt need to speed but he needs to head over. He was only about 10-15 mins away. Well he got here at 7:00pm and they said ok its time to start pushing a bit. However by 7:30pm I did the real pushing and by 8:01pm. Baby Boy Bjarnson was born into this world. He weighed in at 5lbs 15 ounces 18 inches long. He has a good amount of black hair. He was also having some trouble breathing so they took him straight to the nursery to get him on some oxygen. As of today he is on a CPAP and had to have a breathing tube stuck down him and some medication that went through the tube to get his lungs opened up. He does have some fluid around his lungs and his lungs are not fully developed, however this medication they did seems to be working very well and he should be off the CPAP by tomorrow sometime and I should beable to hold my son for the first time. Its been hard not being able to hold him or be around him much because they really want him to have his rest but I know that my mom and Father in Heaven will make sure that he becomes strong so he can go home when I do. We are thinking I should be going home on Thursday and we hope the baby will be able to do the same. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts during this time we know that it will help alot.
