SMART BOY!!

So I am not sure who should get the credit for this one but I love it and it makes my proud. And what I mean by who should take the credit is if daycare should or if I should. Miles new thing to say is "whats that" so I tell him what things are when he says that. Well this book he loves to death and when he gets to the dogs he says "whats that" so I say its the doggy and than I bark. Well now it has come down to this. But I am also not sure if daycare does things like this also. Either way I am happy my son is becoming a smart kid.

1 YEAR PHOTOS!!

We finally found time for Kody to come over and do Miles 1 year photo shoot. It was at 6:30pm but lucky for us Miles was a happy boy. They turned out so good I love them all. Thanks Uncle Kody

MILES WANTING TO WALK!!

So my dad came over to drop off a toy box for Miles and he was able to get a quick video of Miles taking a few steps. Sorry the video is so dark but its off his phone.

MILES 1 YEAR STATS!!

Well yesterday we had Miles 1 year doc appt and it was not a good appt at all. First and for most here is his stats. He is still growing and getting on track.

Weight: 19lbs 11 ounces= 10 percentile
Height: 30 1/2= 75 percentile
Head: 18 1/2= 70 percentile

So the appt didnt go well because they had to do three shots and draw blood. When it came time to draw his blood the nurse lost the vein so she was moving the needle around in his poor arm trying to get the vein again. Finally she gave up and moved to the hand. Well needless to say he was dehydrated I think so they werent able to draw the blood, so this morning we had to go to the lab and do it again. This time was a success. The doctor told us to try everything and anything now for foods except for things that he can choke on. This makes it much easier for me to figure out what to feed him now instead of thinking will the doctor care if we do this. So this morning we decided that we would try toast with light peanut butter on it and well I guess he had an allergic reaction to it. I wasnt home because I had my own appt but Brandon said that Miles start sneezing, sticking his tongue out to pant, and his face turned bright red and started to get blisters on it. When I got home I called the doctor to see what needed to be done and he said just wash off his face and give him some benadryl so thats what I did and it worked.

Now that he is one I have decided that I need to start taking something away from him meaning the bottle or the bink. I wanted to start with the bottle but that is going to be harder than I thought. He can go without drinking anything if I did that, so I decided we would start with the pacifier. Today is day 2 and it has been going really well. He has been going to bed without it and it he only cries for a few minutes and than is out. I think I will start on the bottle within the next month. He does take the sippy but wont take it first thing in the morning or at night so we shall see what to do about that.

Miles now has all 4 molars in and has 12 teeth total. Hard to believe he has a mouth full of teeth. He is still crawling but is trying to get walking down. He can stand for long periods of time without hanging onto anything but when he tries to take steps he falls forward. We have started walking around the house with him just holding his one hand and that seems to be helping with the balance. So I am hoping within the next few weeks he will be a walker.

Other than that he is doing great and is still the happiest boy. I love him so much. :)

MILES 1st BIRTHDAY!!

Well first off you need to prepare yourself because they're tons of photos on this post from Miles first birthday. We celebrated at my in laws house with a BBQ (hotdogs of course because those are Miles favorite), and than a swimming party (once again Miles favorite thing to do.) We only had Brandon's family at this party because this coming up weekend we will do something with my family at Lake Powell. We also had a friend over as well. I think a great time was had by all. The cake was designed and made by a friend by the name of Kelli you can check out her cake blog here www.bakingnaked.blogspot.com. At first Miles couldnt figure out what to do with the big old thing in his face but he soon figured it out with a little help from everyone. He got spoiled with all his presents and I am sure he is going to enjoy all of them (at least I hope he does, his favorite thing to do is play with the entertainment stand). Well anyways enjoy the pictures and there will be another post soon about his 1 year well visit with the doctors with afternoon.

MY BABY IS 1 TODAY!!

Man time sure does fly. Today is Miles 1st birthday I cant believe it. I was looking back through his blog over and all that has happened in the last year and it just doesnt seem like it can be that way. I am one lucky momma. He is such a good boy and hasnt given us to many problems except for two surgeries and lots of doc appts but I wouldnt change it for anything. Today we will be having a birthday party for him at my in laws house so I will for sure have pictures up either tonight or tomorrow. Happy birthday baby boy Momma loves you more than you know!!

MILES BIRTHDAY CAKE!!

This is going to be Miles birthday cake. Its going to be a swimming pool. I am so excited to see it when its all finished.
