TALKING TO EVERYONE!!
I figured it was time to update so I have just a couple of pictures that I just took and a quick video of Miles talking. As you can tell in one photo he is in a different outfit but thats because it was a different day when he and I went for a walk to the park to hang out with people from church. Hope you enjoy.

FIRST HAIR CUT 3-17-2010
Miles got his first hair cut yesterday and let me tell you it sure was time to do it. His old hair wouldnt fall out and the new hair was starting to come in so it looked like a mess. Its not easy cutting a 6 month olds hair but I think it turned out pretty good. For the first time I got the pictures in the right order. :)

JUST KEEP SWIMMING SWIMMING SWIMMING....
Today I took Miles for a trail run on a swim lesson. I think he really enjoyed it. He was full of energy and was laughing and kicking in the water. The teacher was impressed by how much he was kicking and enjoying himself. I did enjoy the class myself but I didnt like how many students were to a teacher. There were 10 kids plus their parents in the water with them and than one teacher. I think I am going to keep looking around for another place and get a feel for others. I do know I want to continue this though because he was having such a great time. If anyone knows of a place that is cheap and will take kids at the age of 6 months that would be awesome. I was thinking I want no more than 5 kids to a class. I was lucky enough to get someone to take a few pics of us in the water so enjoy.

6 MONTH DOC APPT!!
Well Miles had his 6 month doctors appt the other day and he is doing so good and keeps on growing. Here are the stats.
Weight: 14lbs 2 ounces (5 percentile)
Height: 26 inches (48 percentile)
Head: 16 3/4 (25 percentile)
As you can see he is still small but the doctor is not concerned one bit. We are now able to move to feeding solids 3 times a day and give him as much as he wants. The new stuff they are telling us to try is meats and boy can I tell you Mr. Miles does not like turkey and gravy baby food. I have tried everything to trip him on eating it and he just wont take it. I will wait another week to try again but if he doesnt like it I have no idea how to get the meats in his system. If anyone has any hints let me know.
Some other news on Miles is on the 24th of Feb he had to get his first surgery. It went well considering what it was for. When he was about 2 months of age they were not able to locate the left testicle. We had to have ultrasounds to make sure that it was not located in the stomach area. Well the day of the surgery they found that he had a nub to where the testicle was suppose to be but it didnt develop. They removed the nub and he also had a small hernia on the right side that they fixed as well. So my poor baby has only one testicle. The good news though is this is a very common thing in preterm boys and the doctor said it shouldnt effect him to having kids in the future. When he is older if he choices they can place an en-plant. He has a very high tolerance for pain that is for sure. I only gave him his pain meds once and that was a day or so after the surgery. The doctor said it was a good idea to give it to him at least once to make sure he was not allergic to the codeine. Well come to find out he may have a slit reaction to it but they arent sure. He broke out in a rash but it was only on his face. The doctor said that could happen with codeine but they will make note of it.
Other than all this news he is doing well and is still a very good boy.

MUCH NEEDED UPDATE!!
It has been forever since I have updated on Miles. He is now 6 months and I cant believe how big he is getting and how much fun he is. Around the end of January he started teething really bad and nothing was really working but finally two bottom teeth came through the gum and you could tell that he was doing so much better. I was surprised to see both of them come through at the same time but his doctor told me that its more common than people think. He is also starting to get a tooth on the top that is playing peek a boo but it doesnt seem he is having as much pain with that one so that is really nice. He is starting to talk to himself so much and its so funny to hear. When we are at home during the day I always thought that I would have to keep him quite from crying but now its keeping him quite from his play screaming. It makes me laugh and so happy that I have such a happy boy.
He is starting to crab at his feet so I think any day now he will start rolling from his back to his stomach I can just see it happening but he cant get around yet. Its so awesome seeing him bring his feet to his mouth and try to bite them. Some other news is he is now giving baby kisses and only to me on my cheek. Its so special how he just goes straight for my cheek and kisses it. When I tell him O thank you he just gets a big smile on his face. I love it so much. My brother came home from his mission this pass week so we have been at my dad's house every day visiting with family and friends that were in town. Miles was so sick of people and so tired because he wasnt getting good naps in. One night we were playing a game and my grandma was trying to get him to sleep but he just didnt want it. So I went to get him and as soon as he got in my arms he stopped crying and got all comfortable and went to sleep. It makes my heart melt because he sure knows who is mommy is. I really think he is going to be a momma's boy and I am totally ok with that.
This coming up Wednesday Miles will be going into surgery in the morning. Since he was about 2 months old they have not been able to locate his left testicle so they have to go in surgerically to make sure that its still not in the stomach area (this can cause cancer in the future if it is), or to make sure that he really doesnt have one. The surgery is an outpatient one so that will be nice. Its only suppose to last 30-45mins and about an hour in recovery. This is going to be the longest 2 hours of my life. I know he will be ok but as a mom you dont like seeing your baby in pain or being put under for that matter. He has gone through so much since his birth and I hope after this is done everything will calm down.
Is next docs appt is March 3rd so I will have his stats updated at that time and will get some new pictures soon.
